Ithaca Children's Garden's Tough Turtle is BACK! Are you ready to rise to the challenge?
Ithaca’s first adventure obstacle race, Ithaca Children’s Garden’s Tough Turtle, has been bringing racing, philanthropy, and excitement to Ithaca every April since 2013.
The race course sprawls along the Cayuga Waterfront Trail by the Garden and features obstacles generously given or lended by a variety of local community partners that will challenge and delight even the most seasoned racers. Under the direction of former Spartan Race Director Vinny Cappadora, new obstacles are under construction, a course plan is quickly developing, and this year's race is one you'll not want to miss.
Celebrate your adventure with prizes and post race food and drink!
Different this year: No racer will be required to pay out of pocket and every racer will be challenged to raise $200 (or more for great prizes) for the critical cause.
Your support allows ICG to maintain its policy of never turning anyone away for inability to pay, while presenting a unique, award-winning 3-acre garden at no cost to visitors. It takes a village, and we thank you for being part of ours.
For your little turtles, there will also be Tough Turtle Jr., a shorter and more kid friendly obstacle race within the Garden’s perimeter geared towards children 12 and under.
