BIKE SAFETY RODEO @ JCUMC
Saturday, April 14, 1 PM
Jackson Chapel UMC, 5609 Ballenger Creek Pike, Frederick MD
Whether through sports, bicycling or just plain walking, our youth need to exercise in our fight against an epidemic of obesity, diabetes and lack of physical activity. Studies have shown that physical activity increases brain activity and improves academic scores. Bicycling is one of the most effective and efficient form of transportation and promotes much needed physical exercise in our youth.
Sponsored by the Wellness Committee, our youth will learn in our bike safety rodeo how to navigate traffic environments safely, learning about road laws, being safe bicyclists and remembering to “use your head, wear a helmet.”
