April is National Poetry Month, and Jacksonville Public Library is happy to sponsor an open microphone reading at 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 21. “There are no rules for this kind of event,” explains Peter Hoheisel, a published poet and former Creative Writing professor at Lon Morris College, moderator of the gathering.
“People bring poems which they have written or simply poems which they wish to share. They can be in any form or genre. This is our third meeting at the Library, and if we continue to get good attendance, our plan is to have a Celebration of Poetry during each of the four seasons of the year.”
