Jatra Biroti Live Performances March 29th-31st 2018

Thursday April 5th - Syed sujan

Syed kamrujjaman sujan has come from a musical
family. In his early childhood he learnt Harmonium from
father. Thereafter, in 1994 he leant Guitar from his elder
brother when he was only 4 years old.
He worked in many bands from 2003 to 2008 but finally
in 2009 he established named “PORIDHI” and in the
same year they launched their first album of their band
“Oder Keu Nei” from the biggest music production
house of Bangladesh G-seres’s Agnibina. After one year
the band members got very busy in their studies but
Sujan continued his work with Poridhi. In 2010 his first
solo album named “Cholo Mon” released from the
same banner G-seres’s Agnibina. In 2014, his second

solo album named “Voboghure” released from the
banner of Aajob Records.
Then he established a home studio at his home,
although he involved in different studio works from 2004.
He started his music composing career with a song of
BTV. It was a band song. Nowadays he is working in his
own studio “Studio Bangla”. He has a work experience
with Bangladeshi famous singer “Bappa Mazumder”
for 3 years and still working with him. Besides of these,
he composed many TVC jingle’s background music,
many singer’s albums. All these got very popular except
his own songs because he was very indifferent for his
songs, so he only released his songs but did not do
anything for the promotion of his songs.
Anyway, later he changed his band’s name, now it is
“Sujan’s” and continuously working in many TV shows
and Live shows. Sujan had not any intention to take
music professionally, just from his passion now he is a
professional musician.

Friday April 6th - Fariyah Premaa

Fariyah Premaa has been, is and always will be a story teller. She has been telling her stories of human psyche, Mother Nature and other ethereal elements through her poetries, stories, songs and dance performances since she was a child. Her work has been getting published in children sections first when she was in second grade and though she took some hiatus in between, she regained her story telling again in various forms. Her first Bangla Poetry book ‘Obomanob er Sharshee’ got published in Ekushe Boimela on 2013 and her second published book is an English novel ‘Aarshi’ which also had won National Novel Writing Championship during 2011 from New York. She won the novel writing championship again for ‘The Number Nine’ in 2016 and for “Secrets Shared” in 2017.
She is back with her stories in the forms of 6 original songs and 3 cover songs which is very close to her soul. ‘Onek Diner Pore Jano’ is her first solo musical album got formally released on 29th April, 2017 through her CD launching event which also featured two of her self-produced music videos. All of her original songs has different stories behind them and if you listen mindfully, it might strike a chord
within your heart.She is also co-founder and chairperson of BAMAR Inc. (a registered NPO under NY State). BAMAR stands for Bangla Music Archive and Research Foundation which has been working for more than a decade to collect, preserve and spread Bangla music worldwide. Her work will not be based only in Bangladesh or USA, rather all over the world and for that, any respected business will be a valuable sponsor as her books, songs and future artistic endeavours which will expand to short films too, will be available all over ITunes, Spotify, and YouTube and all music, movie and book application worldwide. She is currently working on her next music video ventures which will also tell stories of souls.
