Bushman Dreyfus Architects invites you to join us for a First Fridays Gallery Opening on April 6, 2018 at the Jefferson School African American Heritage Center.

The exhibit displays the work of more than 80 artists, architects, designers, and citizens who submitted entries for the 2018 BDA Prize competition (Charlottesville: Identity & Design).

In the context of a nationwide movement questioning the appropriateness of monuments and memorials honoring certain periods in our history, Bushman Dreyfus Architects sought proposals for a work of public art or architecture that would embody the values and aspirations of a diverse community.

The works are on exhibit at the Jefferson School African American Heritage Center through May 7, 2018. More information about the competition can be found at www.bdaprize.bdarchitects.com.
