Adopt a Park is a community program that directly invests in our youth in the Cardinal Valley area. Adopt a Park originated when community and city leaders noticed a need for positive programming during the summer. The Partners for Youth (PFY) Cardinal Valley “I DO” Community partners came together to discuss ways to keep young people engaged, active and safe in the summer. This group of committed individuals, partnered with different organizations to adopt days in June to provide free summer fun activities to the young people in Cardinal Valley. For four years our partners have adopted both the spring and summer. In 2017, our partners tackled both months of June and July for the first time and served more than 180 youth in two months! This is a community program that directly invests in our youth, and all activities are free to the young people. Our partners make Adopt a Park possible, and if it weren’t for them, we would not be able to reach so many young people.
Program is open to elementary and middle school kids. High school kids are encouraged to volunteer and mentor.
Snacks will be provided each day! You must have a parent or guardian sign the participation waiver.
