Thai yoga bodywork also known as Thai massage is an ancient type of holistic healing; It’s inspired by Yoga, Ayurveda philosophy and energy work. Thai massage is a combination of assisted stretching along with acupressure on the muscles. Combined, they work to open and balance energies, helps with aches, muscle pain, increases mobility, and relaxation among other benefits.
What we will cover:
Intro to: Thai massage history, energy techniques used in Thai massage, stances and positions, sen lines and Marma points. Basic techniques on how to use the hands, elbows, knees and feet on clients. Awareness of client and practitioner, body mechanics, and movement for effortless transitions between poses. We’ll practice a 120 minute complete massage that can be modified depending on the client and time that you have. We’ll go over supine, side, prone and seated positions to work the entire body.
