Due to popular demand, we are bringing back the opportunity to make your own ukulele!
Have you ever wanted your very own ukulele? Now’s your chance to build one yourself! No prior experience required. All musicians and non-musicians are welcome. We’ll be using a suite of maker technology to create and customize your very own Youkulele*. We’ll wrap up with a jam session with pre-made instruments at the end of the Pop-Up class.
Feel free to check out Jon Stapleton’s instructions for making a ukulele here.
*The Youkulele is a laser-cut, DIY ukulele that was designed and built at JMU X-Labs.
Pop-ups are non-credit workshops for students, faculty and community members. Add new skills and ideas to your tool belt with topics ranging from 3D printing to LED programming and glassblowing (lampworking)
Experiment and build out your ideas under the guidance of passionate professors, facilitators and members of the community. Space is limited. Registration is required.
