What is Self-Love?
What does it mean to love yourself?
I know of course there’s no short answer to this question, it is hard to define, and sort of illusive..
And all psychological statistics that are being held every year shows only self-esteem & confidence, and in a recent study it showed that 85% of the world’s population suffer from low self-esteem, and if there was a stat for self-love it would’ve been even worse!
Yes, self-love is not self-esteem, although linked to it, but it’s not it.. And it’s not self-care, which is also linked to it.
Self-love is where everything begins, it’s the answer to every problem and every suffering we have, there’s literally NO problem in our lives that we didn’t cause to ourselves by lack of self-love.
Because everything, every single little detail in our lives are made up from the inside out, and can only be fixed EFFECTIVELY from the inside out.
I mean we can try all sorts of things and we do… but they never really work.. Because in order to have a friendly outer circumstances, a friendly outer environment, you need to first have a friendly INNER environment!
And it’s not a new skill that we need to acquire, in fact we’re all born with it, it’s in our default programming. Just watch a newborn baby and you’ll see how they love every inch of their entire being! They even think that the whole universe revolves around them.
And then life happens! Sometimes big traumas, and sometimes small incidents that seems to be rather insignificant, yet were perceived by the child’s little vulnerable mind as serious even life-threatening situations, hence the mind starts to build a thick shell around the wounded spirit. And so it begins!
Self-ignoring, Self-sabotaging, self-loathing and even self-hatred, we simply lose touch with our true-self and get used to living out of a false-self instead, which doesn’t have a clue about our true potentials or what makes us happy. And out of this springs everything we ever struggle with..
