Mark your calendars for The Derby Party (#DerbyKC), a themed fundraiser hosted by the Kansas City Museum Foundation to benefit the Kansas City Museum!
This year The Derby Party coincides with Cinco de Mayo and festivities on the historic grounds will include: live music by Mundo Nouvo —an 11-piece Salsa Orchestra; southern food bites with a Mexican twist created by The Westside Local; and southern beverage creations with Kansas City distillery labels such as Union Horse Distilling Co. and Lifted Spirits Distillery. In addition, Roca Patrón Tequila “Derbyritas” will be served in honor of #CincodeMayo. Dessert provided by Poppy's Ice Cream & Coffee House; on-the-spot photo booth by Picwood; and yard games KC Crew. Enjoy seeing Derby meets Cinco de Mayo attire, watch the race on the big screen, and much more!

All funds raised at The Derby Party directly support the Museum’s educational efforts and special initiatives that build awareness of the City’s rich history and cultural heritage, including special exhibitions, public programs, and events in the community and at the Kansas City Museum at the Historic Garment District (KCM@HGD), located at 800 Broadway Boulevard. KCM@HGD is open Wednesday-Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. while Corinthian Hall (3218 Gladstone Boulevard) is under construction.
