Kids Safety Awareness Event

Children and their families will have the opportunity to learn what a stranger is and have a lesson with a Black Belt to learn how to get away if someone grabs them. There will also be opportunities for the kids and their families to learn about fire safety, water safety, bicycle safety and other child friendly events in the community.

• Goodie bags will be available for the first 150 kids that attend.

• The Academy Karate America Appleton Stranger Danger workshops at 2:30, 3:30, 4:30 This is a safe and fun 30 minute hands-on workshop taught by Black Belt Instructors. Kids can learn moves and skills to stay safe around strangers (sign up at the event or pre-register for your time by email: info@TheAcademyAppleton.com)

• Grand Chute Fire Department will be on site to promote fire safety, with a fire truck to explore

• Grand Chute Police Department on site to promote safety, with a police car to explore

• Wisconsin Swim Academy will be on site to promote water safety

• Go Valley Kids will be on site to promote other child friendly events in our community

• Obstacle course provided by Essity Fox Valley's Tough Kid Challenge

• Schwagg Bike Shop- bring your bike and helmet for a free tune up, free helmet fitting and bicycle safety course

• Fox Valley Humane Association to promote safe interactions with animals

• Bounce house provided by Jump Around Event Rentals.

The event and workshop will be free to attend. There will be an option to make a “free will” donation with all money going to The Fox Valley Child Advocacy Center.
