About Kara: Kara has 20 years of experience practicing and 9 years of experience teaching mindfulness in a variety of contexts. She currently teaches meditation and yoga at Karma Yoga Center, The Freyja Project, and the University of Denver. She is the founder of Living Mindful Moments, an organization committed to mindfulness education for universities, community organizations, healthcare providers, small businesses, and individuals. She is a certified yoga and meditation instructor and completed training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) with the UMass Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Healthcare, and Society. Kara teaches from the heart of her dedicated personal practice and she is passionate about encouraging others to experience and live the fullest life possible.
