The Australian Embassy in Copenhagen is hosting an ANZAC Day Commemoration on 25 April and we invite all Australian and New Zealand citizens to join us, as well as our Danish friends. This year is the last year of the centenary period of the First World War and to mark this special occasion the commemoration will be held outside as a Dawn Service from 5.30am on 25 April.

ANZAC Day is the principal day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand for those who sacrificed their lives in the First World War and all subsequent military conflicts, as well as honouring our servicemen and women.

In Denmark we will gather on 25 April at the monument to the allied fallen at the southern entrance of Kastellet for a Dawn Service. The Dawn Service will commence at 5.30am in front of the monument and will be followed by an indoor breakfast inside the Kastellet at about 6.30am.

To attend, please register through the event page, including any guests you may bring. Be advised that prior registration is required, and that once you are registered your name may be disclosed to the Danish authorities responsible for providing security. For security reasons, do not bring large bags or backpacks with you.

We advise guests to use public transportation on the day, as parking in the area is very limited. There will be a short walk from the Dawn Service site to the breakfast area over cobblestone. If you have significant mobility issues we advise you to bring a carer with you and notify the Embassy via our general enquiries e-mail on genenq.cpgn@dfat.gov.au. Please plan to arrive no later than 5.25am as the Dawn Service will start at 5.30am sharp. We look forward to seeing you on 25 April.
