National Geographic and the National Audubon Society have named 2018 The Year of the Bird!
This year is the 100th Anniversary of the International Migratory Bird Treaty Act! The Southern Adirondack Audubon Society and the Audubon Society of the Capital Region are partnering with the Kelly Adirondack Center of Union College to bring this amazing three-week exhibition of the best bird photographs of 2017 to this amazing Adirondack research and event facility rich in history and one-of-a-kind archival materials.
Twelve award winning photographs from the 2017 Audubon photography contest and two full-size reprints from an original copy of John James Audubon's "Birds of America" double elephant folio owned by the Union College Schaffer Library, will be on exhibit from:

Exhibit Opening– Thursday, April 12 at 5:30 p.m. - Live Birds of Prey and refreshments at the:
Kelly Adirondack Center, 897 St. David’s Lane, Niskayuna, NY.
Birding for Beginners Walk in the Reist Preserve– Saturday, April 14 at 8 a.m.
Learn the basics of birding and return to the Kelly Adirondack Center to enjoy the exhibit and refreshments. ***Bird walk starts at the Kelly Adirondack Center.
