Medicinal Herb Walk at Ken Reid Conservation Area

Join Traditional Herbalist Correne Omland on a 1.2 km hike through the Escarpment Loop at Ken Reid Conservation Area in Lindsay Ontario.

Learn how to properly and safely identify herb in their natural habitat, how to ethically wild-harvest them and their medicinal uses and properties.

Date: Saturday June 16th 2018
Time: 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. (approximately)
Cost: $20 (plus cost of parking)

Meeting Place: First parking lot upon entrance to Ken Reid.

We will be hiking the entire escarpment loop (1,229 metres). The pace will not be too brisk and we will be stopping to learn about specific plants along the way.

It is ILLEGAL to harvest, forage or take any plants from conservation areas in Ontario. This hike is for educational purposes only and no herbs will be harvested.

Items to Bring:
* water
* snack
* sunscreen/bug spray (no DEET please)
* notepad/notebook & pen
* herb identification guide (helpful but not necessary)
