In celebration of Earth Day, join us for a river cleanup! Your family and friends are invited to get down and dirty on Saturday, April 21 to clean up Kern Park, one of the fields we frequently play at for United Adworkers softball. Below please find general event info.
This 23rd annual event is organized through the Milwaukee River Keepers, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and improving the water quality, wildlife habitats, and land in the Milwaukee, Menomonee, and Kinnickinnic River Watersheds.
WHEN: Saturday, April 21st from 9:00 a.m. - Noon
WHERE: Kern Park 3614 N Humboldt Blvd / Milwaukee. Park on the street along Humboldt Blvd. or Singer Circle then walk toward the center of the park and down the hill. Meet at the tree line of the bluff on the river.
DETAILS: Milwaukee River Keepers provide the bags, gloves, and FREE T-SHIRTS, and YOU provide the hands and energy to pick up trash, litter, and the interesting or bizarre pieces of garbage that find their way into our beautiful river system. Grab a garbage bag, and let's clean some river!
Hang out for the after-party at 12:00 PM with Rock the Green at Estabrook Park, Picnic Area #8
This is a great way to give back to the community, take care of the water we drink, and join fellow Adworkers for a good cause.
