Psalm 63:1 says "O God, You are my God; early I will seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water."
That's the heart of this Worship Training Day – that at the core of who we are, and how we serve the church, is a thirst for God that supersedes every other thirst.
Family Church, King's Church, Harbour Church and Life Church Poole are coming together to spend an afternoon receiving from God's word and an evening pouring out in worship. We'd love for other worship teams across the city to join us. There's no agenda to dictate style or method, just a desire to grow in our character and our identity in Christ, so that in whatever way we lead our churches in worship, it comes from hearts that long for Him more than anything else.
The day is being hosted at King's Church, on Somer's Road, Southsea. The afternoon of teaching will run from 2 pm to 5 pm, and the worship night will run from 7 pm to 9:30 pm. Entry is free. The teaching will come from our own team leaders and will be in bite-sized 15-minute chunks, broken up with group discussion and refreshments breaks. The worship night will be led by various worship leaders from across the city.
To help with managing and preparing for numbers we will open an online booking link for you to book your team in. Again, there's no charge for coming, so you won't be asked for payment details – just the names and emails of those coming so we can send out a booking confirmation.
If you can only make part of the day (eg. just the evening), check the tick box for the relevant part of the day on the order form when you book in.
