Following on from our poll last week the first Clean Up day will be held on Saturday 14th April.
We felt there was a need to do something as soon as possible and this is the first weekend where we are able to make a start.
A Sunday was mentioned by some as being a more preferable day. However, on Sunday 15th the is hall not available and the following week sees some key people missing.
This is not a one-off event and we will do it again and we can look to do it on a Sunday next time.
We have a variety of tasks we want to do - for those families with younger children, a litter pick is perhaps most suitable as it allows the children to be involved whilst allowing parents to supervise.
We will have bags, pickers and high viz vests available on the day. If you have spades, brushes, sponges, and buckets please bring them along
At the end of the morning's work, we will have free bacon butties and tea/coffee, soft drinks for the children at the hall.
