Staff is updating Kitchener’s urban design guidelines and will be hosting informal discussions in local coffee shops throughout April for residents who’d like to learn more and provide feedback into this process.

Join us at the following times & locations to provide feedback:

Mon. April 9 at Berlin Bicycle Cafe (Belmont Village) 2 - 4 p.m.
Tues. April 10 at Williams Cafe (Sportsworld) 5 - 7 p.m.
Weds. April 11 at Smile Tiger (Ahrens St. Downtown Kitchener) 6 - 8 p.m.
Thurs. April 12 at Lisboa (Williamsburg) 4 - 6 p.m.
Fri. April 13 at Cafe O (Victoria St. N) 2 - 4 p.m.
Mon. April 16 at Williams Cafe (Fairway Rd.) 2 - 4 p.m.

Urban design guidelines are one of the tools planners use to shape how a city looks and functions. They set standards for how sites are designed, supports pedestrians, and promotes feelings of safety by ensuring there are eyes on streets and protection for pedestrians.
