For children aged 6 and up, drop off.
We feel the children will get more from it if they are dropped off, but parents are welcome to stay for the first session.
Our sessions aim to get children to manage their own risks in a safe environment, become independent, build confidence and self-awareness. They will have the chance to spend time in nature, feel connected to nature and grow to respect it. These sessions are child led, although optional activities are available. They can go explore and get the alone time they need, burn off energy, feel the accomplishment of making something, and working as a team, helping each other and skill sharing. Activities are planned before each session (with input from the children from last session), but activities may change depending on how the group are feeling that day or what we think may benefit them that day.
From fire lighting to tool use, there is something for everyone. We will discover various ways to build shelters, learn to ID plants and trees. Build bow and arrows and swords. We will be cooking using what we have foraged. We will also look in to woodland management, what different trees can be used for and make some woodland crafts and lots more.
£5 per session, pre-paid in a 6 week block (£30).
