Kingman Regional Medical Center invites the public to an open house at the KRMC Cancer Center on Thursday, April 19th, from 5:30-7:30 pm.
The open house is to celebrate the completed expansion of the cancer center. The Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce will conduct a ribbon cutting ceremony.
KRMC partnered with local construction firm, T.R. Orr, and Arizona- based Morfeld Ray Architects for the renovation, breaking ground on the project in May, 2017.
The KRMC Cancer Center has doubled in size, which includes an expanded chemotherapy suite and an additional linear accelerator for radiation therapy, called TrueBeam®.
The larger chemotherapy suite accommodates an additional 12 chairs to administer chemotherapy, reducing wait times for patients who need cancer treatment.
The cancer center also added an on-site pharmacy to the facility. This allows patients easier and more efficient access to their medications and streamlines their care.
Attendees can get information on current cancer treatment methods, tour the expanded areas and view the new linear accelerator. This event is free and open to the public with refreshments included.
