We are excited to announce a very special series of contemporary workshops with Isabelle Nelson on April 8 2018.
Isabelle is an ex-student of LOD Dance Studios. A little bit about her:
Isabelle Nelson is a graduate of the New Zealand School of Dance and upon graduating commenced work with JAVA Dance Company. She toured both nationally and internationally with JAVA; teaching workshops and performances throughout primary and secondary schools of New Zealand as well as performing in Festivals throughout NZ and Australia.
As the recipient of the Dorothy Daniels scholarship, she was able to continue her dance training in the Netherlands. She spent 2014 working alongside ‘de KISS moves FUSION dance theatre’, (Netherlands) where they went on to perform in the Finals for ‘Hollands Got Talent,’ and received the vote for ‘Audience’s Favorite.’ She continues to work & teach in Europe, has choreographed work for Music Artist ‘Maztek,’ and taught for NZ Dance Company on their Dutch Tour in 2016. We feel very privileged to be host her as she comes back to NZ to visit home!
We will host 3 workshops with her, as well as a Q & A session to hear about her dance training and her pathway to a career in dance. The cost for each workshop is $15.00. The times will be as follows:
10.30am – 11.30am: Beginner level workshop (8-12 years old)
11.30am – 1.00pm: Intermediate level workshop (13-15 years old)
1.30pm – 3.00pm: Senior level workshop (16 + incl all tertiary students)
3.00pm – 3.15pm: Q & A (open to all high school students)
This is open to all LOD students, regardless of whether they currently learn contemporary or not, and we would highly recommend all students taking up this wonderful opportunity to learn and experience a class with a current International performer and tutor.
To register, please login to your account and click on “enrol in a class”. Click on the contemporary workshop with Isabelle Nelson, and enrol in the level you wish. The Q & A session is also loaded (click “more” to view them all). This is just an informal session, but it would be good to have an indication of numbers, so please enrol in this class also if you wish to come along.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
