Ready to continue the La Casa tradition? Come by to La Casa this Friday at 6pm to support Nicole as she tells us stories of her life. There will be dinner!
Nicole Sánchez Astupuma is an Ethnicity, Race, and Migration major from Elmhurst, New York City. On campus, you can find her helping firstyears as a Pauli Murray FroCo, teaching kids how to swim at Payne Whitney, or practicing choreo for a Danceworks show. She's Venezuelan-Peruvian and spent half of 2017 studying abroad in Peru, where she researched legal and political indigenous resistance of an indigenous group. Nicole is grateful for the support the Latinx and first-gen communities have given her throughout her four years and is excited to give her cena!
Fun facts: (1) she's scurried around in 7 countries (2) her favorite childhood memory is star-gazing in a park with her mom (3) if someone has broken her record of partying for 18 hours straight, speak now or forever hold your peace.
