Did you know you can make bakery-quality sourdough bread in your own kitchen? Join Fishtown Cafe's Head Baker, John McGrath, on Saturday, April 21st from 3pm-5pm for a Sourdough Bread Workshop.
Through discussion and hands-on experience, you'll learn about cultivating and maintaining a sourdough starter, developing recipes, mixing dough by hand or with an electric mixer, dough fermentation, shaping, proofing, and baking, all in a way that's designed for the home baker's setup.
Each guest will have the opportunity to mix, portion, and take home a piece of dough to shape and bake, as well as the option of leaving with some sourdough starter of your own. You'll also get a recipe and reference handout to guide you in your home baking efforts.
All participants of this workshop will receive 30% off any beverage for the evening. This workshop is limited to 14 people, so make sure you secure your seat early!
