We are excited to open our farm for a collaborative hands-on flower farming and design workshop! Nestled in the rolling hills of North Central Florida, students will find inspiration from fields of seasonal flowers in peak bloom. Day one will focus on growing fundamentals, including soil fertility, variety sourcing and selection, harvesting, and post harvest handling. Swallowtail farmer-florist and founder of Ladybug Blooms, Mariana Riehm, will lead the first day. Mariana has 10 years farming experience in North Central Florida. Day two will focus on floral design including personal flowers and centerpieces. Amy Armstrong of The Conservarotie Floral will lead Day two. Amy has ten years experience in floral design and will lead the group in the technique and artistry of arranging flowers. Fables Catering & Such will provide lunch both days and will feature organic produce sourced from the farm. It’s sure to be a weekend full of hands on learning and creativity all while being surrounded by the beauty of the farms natural surroundings! Please join us on this inaugural intimate event and meet like-minded flower lovers from the surrounding area and beyond. All skill levels welcome.
