Roberta Rohdin Killian will lead “Books by the Lake,” a book discussion group in the library’s Smith Meeting Room. This month’s book selection is Hillbilly Elegy, by J.D. Vance.

Pre-registration is requested at the library’s reference desk. Free copies of the book will be given to the first 20 registrants, and copies of the book may be placed on hold in the library’s Share catalog. Coffee will be served, and the program is sponsored by the Lake Geneva Public Library.

In the bestselling memoir, Hillbilly Elegy, J.D. Vance, a former marine and Yale Law School graduate, gives a probing look at the struggles of America’s white working class through the author’s own story of growing up in a poor Rust Belt town.
