The adult Mental Health First Aid course is appropriate for anyone 18 years and older who wants to learn how to help a person who may be experiencing a mental health related crisis or problem. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, psychosis, and addictions. Everyone who completes the course will be certified in Mental Health First Aid for three years.

Registration is $10. If you cannot afford the registration fee, please contact Shannon at 504-896-2345 or education@namineworleans.org.

We will have a working lunch. You may bring your own lunch, or box lunches will be ordered from Honeybaked Ham. (The registration fee includes a lunch order.) To reserve your spot/order lunch, payment must be made in advance. If you can no longer attend the training, refunds/credit towards a future class will only be given if requested 24+ hours before the start of the training.

This course has been approved for 7.5 general CEUs as authorized by the Louisiana State Board of Social Work Examiners. (Additional $50 for CEUs.)
