Join us at Lakewood as we honor Memorial Day by remembering the sacrifices of those who have served our country. The day starts with our traditional Memorial Day service at 10:30 a.m., followed by special tours, music and other activities in the afternoon.
This year, we're paying special tribute to the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I by focusing on those who served at home and abroad to bring the Great War to a close, as well as what life was like for Minnesotans on the home front in 1918. Special WWI-themed afternoon activities include WWI tours, a history exhibit, live music, a community sing, a Victory Garden planting activity and more.
This event is free and open to the public. No registration is necessary. Visit https://www.lakewoodcemetery.org/single-post/Memorial-Day-Celebration for a full list of the day's activities, or call 612-822-2171 or email firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
