A Butterfly is the perfect description of Jessica Key who made her metamorphosis from girl to woman by realizing that she didn’t have to conform to the world’s view of who she should be. Jessica is an accountability coach, consultant, grant writer, motivational speaker, poet, singer, and songwriter. Her stage and pen name is Buddafli. This name became the inspiration for her business Budda Inspired, a weight loss program that inspires, motivates and encourages clients to lose weight. In January 2016 Jessica was 319 lbs. and decided to change her life by changing the way she ate and increasing her daily workout regimen. Jessica’s weight loss journey was the inspiration behind her book, Confessions of a Buddafli: Relationships, Food, and Self-Esteem, which details her life as an overweight dark-skinned girl growing up with low self-esteem. Jessica invites readers to take a journey through her eyes as a little girl discovering herself through relationships and overcoming a food addiction. Throughout the book readers can enjoy poetry intertwined in the chapters to further enhance the experience of their journey through her eyes.
