LEARN TO MEDITATE
A 4-week introduction to the purpose and benefits of meditation. Discover a correct and comfortable posture that suits you, how to use different types of meditation techniques (both stabilising and analytical) in daily life, and how to overcome obstacles such as drowsiness and distraction.
The meditations can be used in all traditions, both Buddhist and non-Buddhist, and there is no expectation that you become a Buddhist. The classes, led by Linda McDonald, include short guided meditations, handy hints and instruction, selected readings and plenty of time for questions. Ideal for beginners and a great way to get on-going feedback week-to-week on your new meditation practice!
No need to book, just come along! By donation (suggested $10 per class, but no set amount). Bound notes for the unit are $20.
