“Minneapolis-based trio Mama Caught Fire is known for its intricate harmonies, emotional storytelling, and raw vocal power. At the center of the group’s sound is three-part vocal harmony, often accompanied by guitar, ukulele, or piano. Mama Caught Fire is frequently compared to bands like The Wailin’ Jennys, The Staves, and Crosby, Stills & Nash. Band members Abigail Tuominen, Molly Sowash, and Julia Hobart each write for the group, grappling with themes such as grief, fear for the environment, and fierce love for community. Mama Caught Fire’s debut album, Listen As She Speaks, will be released in June 2018.”
