The Beverly Hills Bar Association is presenting a panel discussion on sexual harassment in the entertainment industry. Exactly what is sexual harassment? What are the employer's obligations to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace? What are the employee's rights? What action do you take if your client is sexually harassed in the workplace? Are the unions the first line of defense? What recourse do you have if a report is filed with the employer and/or union and no action is taken or there is retaliation against your client? Are NDAs appropriate or effective in these cases? What civil recourse does the victim have? What is the criminal liability for the perpetrator? What is the liability for those complicit in their employer's sexually harassing activity? The panel will address these questions and more in the wake of the fallout of the wave of sexual harassment claims that have permeated the entertainment industry in the past few months
