The League of Women Voters of Wichita Falls will meet for its monthly meeting on April 4, at Luby's Cafeteria. The meeting starts at noon and will end at 1:oo p.m. We encourage members and visitors to go through the line at 11:30. Our topic this month is on Alzheimers and the speaker is Sue Gross.
Sue Gross is a 2012 MSU graduate with a Master's in Clinical Psychology and Counseling. She has been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2015.
After a year as a geriatric therapist in Bowie, Sue is now in her fifth year with the Alzheimer's Association of Wichita Falls Office as their Education and Family Care Specialist. Besides community education, she supports and counsels family caregivers facing the daunting task of caring for loved ones with with any form of dementia.
She will educate us about Alzheimer's and the role that the association plays here in Wichita Falls in advocacy, research, and support. She will also enlighten us about making better lifestyle choices that can impact our brain as well as our body. There will be something for everyone to learn.
