Climbing is an exhilarating activity that greatly boosts strength, coordination and stamina.
Regardless of all these positives, we can’t escape the unfortunate truth that there is also a down side. Regular outings to the crag, without sufficient after care or cross training can lead to decreased mobility; this not only limits your ability to climb successfully, it also increases the likelihood of injury. There is also a potentially high chance of asymmetry associated with the activity. Physical risk aside there is a psychological aspect to take into account and how we process fear is an important part of the sport.
This workshop aims to provide you with tools and methods to
* Increase flexibility
* Move mindfully
* Tackle fear positively
The physical practice is designed to complement and strengthen movements you will encounter on routes, while breath work and meditation will support your mental game.
Open to all levels of experience. £20 or £10 for those on Yoga Mad Monthly.
