Nationally renowned, award-winning chocolatier Kate Shaffer will demonstrate the ins and outs of tempering chocolate, and we’ll be making several recipes from her cookbook Desserted: Recipes and Tales from an Island Chocolatier.
On the agenda for the evening are New England-Style Mole Poblano Chicken Wings; Filo Cigars with Blue Cheese, Bittersweet Chocolate and Sherry Dipping Sauce; Chocolate Dipped Molasses Cookies and Ice Cream with Warm Caramel Sauce. Kate will share some secrets to working successfully with chocolate, and hopefully some stories of her life on Isle au Haut. A signed copy of Kate’s book is included in the price.
