Jumping off the foundation of Part One, Minerva Arias (of SF Laughing Lotus and Roots Healing) leads participants in a more hands-on workshop exploring Ayurveda's perspective on food, nutrition and gut health.
Understanding and supporting our agni (digestive fire) is a cornerstone to our good health in Ayurvedic medicine. In this workshop, Minerva will guide you through the principles of agni, how to detect imbalance in your agni and how to support it for optimal health and digestion.
A review of the rasas from part one and its connection to doshas will lead our hands-on, interactive portion of the workshop. We'll begin with creating menu ideas to understand how to cook nourishing meals for every member of the family - regardless of dosha and using real food as examples of the six tastes. Then we get to blend delicious smoothies together based on the doshas and Ayurvedic principles of support agni.
You'll walk away feeling more confident in being able to use your observation to distinguish and use foods (& its rasas) to maintain your overall health and optimum agni. Empowered with the knowledge to feed yourself, your family and friends regardless of dosha.
