Start your day with breakfast, fellowship!
We meet at Lili’s (Kietzke at Grove, Franktown Corner) on Wednesday mornings at 8:00 am. For our studies we use Barclay’s Commentary and the Bible. Contact George Griffith at (775) 829-0197 for more information.
For Jesus, Lord of the Sabbath, healing was a critical point in his life. He deliberately broke the Sabbath laws by healing on that day when people could not lift a finger. Chapter 12 has a series of crucial events and statements where Jesus said that blasphemy against the Son is forgivable, but not blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Chapter 13 finds Jesus at the seashore beginning to teach in parables and giving quotations from the Psalms and Isaiah. Then he returned to Nazareth to teach in the Synagogue.
