Come learn all about this powerful superfood, how you can incorporate it into your daily routine, which colour and type is right for you, how to identify a good quality powder, how to make a traditional Incan Maca tea, Maca Chocolate Smoothie and other yummy Maca treats!

Maca is one of the world’s most unique and powerful medicinal superfoods. It only grows above 3800m in the small region of Junin, Peru. As a medicine, it has been at the centre of Inca culture, history and spirituality for over 2000 years. Its traditional uses include treatment of mental health, hormone balance, menopause, PMS, fatigue, fertility, sexual dysfunction, libido, pain, chronic fatigue, fibroymyalgia and cancer.

Come learn about the power of Maca and how to prepare it from founders of Seleno Health Dr Corin Storkey and Sally Huapaya. They'll take you through a step-by-step guide on how to choose a quality Maca that's right for you, how to prepare it, what it can do for your health, and how you can make a difference in the realities of superfood farmers and the community. Megan will also show you how to add it to your daily routine, and whip up some superfood Maca treats!

Dr Corin Storkey and Sally Huapaya live and work part-time in Peru with their Maca farmer and community, running a volunteer program that brings kiwis to Peru to experience life in a remote Andean community. Their Maca research program studies the bio-active chemicals in Maca, and recent findings have begun to unlock the secrets behind it's mode of action.
