Phonics and Early Writing
1.30pm and 7pm on Tuesday 26th June
We will be running 2 workshops on Phonics and Early Writing. Children are now taught Phonics (pure sounds) throughout their education with phonics tests in school. It is vital that children are taught and hear the correct sounds from the start so they do not have to re-learn information. In this workshop we will explain what ‘Phonics’ means and how to pronounce the sounds correctly to ensure consistency of learning for your child. We will also discuss what Early Writing is and have a variety of activities to aid writing for you to try. This workshop is suitable for parents of children of all ages as phonics starts with talking and progresses to reading and writing.
To try to accommodate all parents’ needs we are offering the same workshop at 2 different times, 1.30pm and 7pm. We will have limited spaces available for children to attend nursery during the 1.30pm session.
If you would like to attend the Workshop please sign up on the sheet in the foyer.
Refreshments will be provided.
