Liverpool & the Terracotta Warriors

Fri 27th July – Monday 30th July 2018

Let us take you to the North West of England for a long weekend in Liverpool, and including entry to the China’s First Emperor & the Terracotta Warriors exhibition at the World Museum in Liverpool AND also an optional day excursion to Chester!

Staying at the landmark Adelphi Hotel in the heart of Liverpool and including 3 nights dinner bed and breakfast.

Day One

Taking you North and on to the landmark Adelphi Hotel in Liverpool to check in for your weekend in this most vibrant of cities.

Once checked in not only will you be treated to an evening meal and full English breakfast each morning but as you’re in the city centre, this cultural hotspot will be waiting to entertain you the moment you step outside.

Fantastic shopping, great architecture and quite possibly some of the best nightlife around…Liverpool has it all!

Day two – Chester!
We head under the river Mersey and on to this glorious walled Roman city. High end shopping and quality bars and restaurants fit in perfectly within the old city walls. Famed for it’s horseracing, it a meet is on the expect to see the town filled will some very well dresses ladies and gents.. off for a flutter at the track. You may also bump into a Roman centurion! Feeling energetic? Walk the whole of the city walls and follow in the footsteps of the Romans, or maybe head down to the Dee for a cruise on the river… perfect for a summers day!

Day Three – Liverpool

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before a short walk to the imposing building that is the World Museum for the “China’s First Emperor & the Terracotta Warriors” exhibition.

For over 2,000 years, an underground army of life-sized terracotta warriors secretly guarded the tomb of China’s First Emperor, Qin Shi Huang, until a chance discovery in 1974 unlocked the mysteries of a vanished empire.

Showcasing objects from one of the world’s greatest archaeological discoveries, this unmissable exhibition spans almost 1,000 years of Chinese history; from the conflicts and chaos of the Warring States period, to the achievements and legacy of the Qin and Han dynasties

The remainder of your day is free in this most vibrant of cities

As mentioned this city has so much to offer, and with our hotel in such an enviable location , it’s almost all within walking distance.
Liverpool 1 is the newest shopping centre, part designer shops and part typical city centre stores.
The Albert Dock is the place to go when there’s something on in town, see the Liver birds and walk alongside the River Mersey..Head a bit further and you can even take three famous ferry across it!

Day Four
Time to bid farewell to Liverpool and the North West and head back to South Wales. Arriving home that evening.
