Message from NSW TAFE . . . .
We are excited to offer the Diploma of Aboriginal Studies for Professional and Community Practice at Eora College.
This Aboriginal Studies program includes:
o delivery by professional Aboriginal trainers and facilitators
o developing an appreciation of the depth of traditional and contemporary Aboriginal cultures and Aboriginal cultural diversity in Australia
o gaining awareness of the complexities of traditional & contemporary Aboriginal societies, including the special relationships Aboriginal people have with the land and water, the environment, other species and one another
o consideration of the traditional concept of the Dreaming and why it remains central to Aboriginal spirituality and the relationship with the land and water
o understanding the impacts of invasion on Aboriginal people, land, water and cultures
o exploring the changes Aboriginal people and cultures have undergone due to key government policies and practices relating to Aboriginal people since European colonisation
This residential block program is delivered over five (5) blocks of four (4) days.
Provided students meet the eligibility criteria below, all costs will be met.
