Spring Bicycle Maintenance
Saturday, April 21
4 to 6 pm
(approximately 1-1/2 to 2 hours)
Canton, NY

Spring is here, and it is time to dust that bike off and give it some good attention for the upcoming season. We'll focus on getting you ready for the inevitable road repair and honing your bike to be good for the road, including lubrication, shifting and braking.

Due to limited space, pre-registration is required.

PRESENTER BIOGRAPHY
Jon Ignatowski is a graduate of St. Lawrence University and is currently an Assistant Coach for Clarkon's XC and Nordic programs, in addition to being the Chairman of Canton's Complete Streets Committee. He previously operated a local bicycle repair business, Iggy’s Bike Works.
Jon has been turning wrenches for many years, and loves to teach others how to save time and money by working on their own mechanized implements. He has participated in several bicycling tours, has helped lead a seasonal bike touring company, and has been a mountain biking instructor in New Mexico.

LOCATION - RSVP IS NECESSARY
To be held outdoors in Canton, NY. Please register for this hands-on workshop for the venue information. There will likely be a wait list (first-come, first served if there are cancellations), so please register soon!

WEAR / BRING
This is an outdoor workshop so please wear comfortable clothes that can can get a little scruffy and dirty.
Please dress accordingly for the weather.
· Bring your functioning bike if you have one, but nothing wrecked up - we will help get your bike on the road for the season, but we're not miracle workers! LOL
· Bring bike maintenance tools such as lube, hex keys, crescent wrenches, etc. if you have them. We’ll also have tools on hand but the more we have the more practice everyone can get.

DONATION
For this unique learning experience, a $22 general public, $40 couple/family of two, $10 student donation is requested to cover overhead expenses and to benefit Local Living Venture non-profit workshop creation.
Participants will go home with their bike spiffed up and renewed confidence in their bike repair skills!
Donations can be made by cash or check to "Local Living Venture" and are collected on site during registration.
Reduced Rate / Scholarships are available upon request.

Please note that our Presenters are generous volunteers donating their time to support the Local Living Venture, because your donation is a major means of our support as a small community organization.
