Justice and Law: A Conversation with former U.S. Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates
Join us on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 6:45PM for a rare conversation with Sally Yates, the former acting attorney general who was dismissed by President Trump last year after refusing to defend his first travel ban. Ms. Yates, Distinguished Lecturer from Government at Georgetown Law, will discuss the independence of the judiciary, the fine points of constitutional law, civil rights in the modern era, criminal justice and prison reform and more with Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter Matt Apuzzo, who has covered the Justice Department under five attorneys general and who has been at the forefront of the special counsel's investigation into Russia and the Trump campaign. The event is cosponsored with the New York Times.
