Exploring The Practice of Bhakti In Hatha-Raja Yoga Practice and Everyday Life.
The Spiritual Heart of all beings lies at the right side of the physical heart, at the center of the chest. There is a subtle space here that is beyond all the polarities and differences of this world where we can find a connection to all of life, beyond space and time. Bhakti Yoga is the practice of learning from this place of connection and listening to the heart as our guide and teacher. Just like the physical heart exerts to serve blood to the body and relaxes itself to receive it back, our Spiritual Heart attunes us to this natural rhythm and interaction to the whole of creation. When we put the focus on our offering, we’re able to relax our expectations and open up to receiving the blessings in our life. When the Heart beats in this way and we are in a rhythmic dance with the divine, we call it Devotion.
We will explore how we incorporate devotion into all the limbs of Yoga and how this natural way of being reflect into our lives. Combining the best techniques of Dharma Yoga as taught by Sri Dharma Mittra, expect a complete practice consisting of asana, pranayama, mantra, chanting, meditation, spiritual discourse, and Yoga Nidra.
Sina is a senior certified Dharma Yoga teacher and a direct disciple of the Yoga master Sri Dharma Mittra. Although he pulls from many lineages and teachers, his goal is One. He is dedicated to exploring so he may share the Universal Teachings that lie in the hearts of all beings. He guides others through the necessary techniques that have been refined by sages and seers of the past and his own experience so others may experience connection to their deepest innermost Self as it manifests into their own lives, in their own way.
He offers a graceful, yet challenging practice which encourages students to go deeper and experience it in a meditative and spiritual way. Through a devotional practice that combines the rhythm of music, body & breath, he emphasizes on developing good health, a clear mind and a kind heart. With a belief that the yoga practice needs to be tailored for the individual, Sina’s approach is in a way to make it accessible to as many students as possible so you can expect many variations & modifications in his classes.
Sina is the co-founder of Dharma Temple, a destination yoga, meditation, conscious events and boutique in Vancouver, B.C. where he shares the high vibe yogic lifestyle to his community.
