Is life too busy? There’s no time for self care? Waiting for that vacation so you can finally relax?

Simplicity training is a Yoga based program designed to support you to make the transition from looking at life as an outer struggle of obligations, responsibilities and 'racing the clock' to greeting each day with gratitude and embracing life and all that comes our way. This training will provide you with self-care techniques that tailor to the individual to suit your life and give you the courage, support and inspiration to make changes that are in line with your heart’s desires. Simplicity training follows the motto, all that you seek is within you already.

Often times we are wasting time searching outside ourselves for people and things to alleviate our suffering and bring us hapiness. Simplicity training reveals you are lacking nothing, you have all that you need waiting within you, and it’s just a matter of tapping into your inner potential. We will provide you with all the tools you need to simplify your life by mastering the mind and give you specialized daily practices to help unfold what mysteries and miracles are waiting within you!

What to expect:
-Simple yet profound yogic teachings that we will study and put into practice (like a mini Yoga Teacher Training)
-Yogic tools: Cleansing techniques, postures, breathing techniques, mantras, affirmations, meditations and visualizations

Workshop 1: The Self Deconstructed
The essence of Spirituality is largely an unlearning of all the negative, limiting ideas and labels that have influenced our understanding of who we are. In this workshop we will learn the fundamental teachings of Yoga which will form the framework of this course. We will investigate the SELF according to Yoga Philosophy, unveiling our innermost truth and untapped potential and use these ancient teachings to make positive life-affirming choices.

Workshop 2: Untangling the Knots that Keep us Bound
We often feel very bound by the demands life throws at us. In this workshop we look at the ways we validate ourselves externally by keeping busy (and exhausted) and by examining how our own and societal expectations and obligations often keep us living in a constant state of catch up mode. This workshop goes to the depth of our desires and what drives our behaviours. It will allow you to reflect upon the pillars in which you want to build your life around, which will bring more space, time and purpose to your life.

Workshop 3: Breath, Mind and Emotions: Exploring the Subtleties of our Human Experience
When we feel a disconnect between the head and the heart, we often feel out of sorts, as if we are living on autopilot. In this state, life passes us by instead of us living it to the fullest. When the head and the heart aren’t aligned we lose a lot of energy in an inward battle. Understanding the breath (prana) can help us bring balance in our subtle, energetic body and bring life back to the areas where we are feeling disconnected. In this workshop we will look at the subtle dynamic of breath and mind, how they relate and how we can use breathing techniques to deepen our connection to our innermost self.

Workshop 4: Creating Loving and Accepting Relationships inside and out
When life isn’t going well we often look to something or someone to blame. In this workshop we will take a look at how to find radical acceptance of ourselves and others. We will look at both the inner and outer conflicts we have and ways to develop deeper learning, understanding and acceptance in them. We will look at why we take offence to certain things and learn how to develop resilience through unconditional love and self knowing. We will walk away from this workshop with many tools to start mending the ways in which we relate in our world.

Workshop 5: Your YOUnique Self
Often we are so patterned and programmed by society to act and be a certain way that we ignore who we truly are, which creates a disconnect from tapping into our joy and internal spark. This workshop will look at methods to rediscover that inner spark, and stoke the fire of our passions. We will connect to what rings true for us when asking deep life questions. With the clarity gained we will look at ways to move forward in life living true to ourselves and not just of the status quo.

Week 6: Sadhana: Creating a Life-Long Practice
Sadhana is the Sanskrit term for any practice that generates higher self knowing. We will take a look at how everything is sadhana, from the way you eat and brush your teeth, to how you manage your mind, emotions and energies. You will come to understand that yoga is a 24/7 practice and not just one hour on your mat. We will look at several outer practices, rituals and self-care exercises that best suit our personalities, needs and routines. By the end of this workshop you will be well equipped with enough wisdom to last you a lifetime and carry you forward on your journey inward.
