On Thursday 2 November some of London’s famous faces (and voices) will be supporting The Royal British Legion’s London Poppy Day in a bid to raise over £1 million for The Royal British Legion, making it the largest one-day street collection of its kind in the UK.
With activity across the capital, from Covent Garden to Canary Wharf, London Poppy Day offers something for everyone:
On the street
Come and meet around 2,000 collectors including uniformed personnel from the Royal Navy, Army, Royal Air Force, veterans and their supporters.
Head to the capital's major train stations to watch performances from top military bands including the Army's HAC Regimental Band and the RAF's Spitfires Choir, and listen out for celebrity announcements across the city’s transport network.
For thrill-seekers, head down to watch the Royal Marines take to the skyline and abseil down 40 Bank Street every half-hour.
Live updates throughout the day will feature our Twitter and Instagram accounts using #LDNPoppyDay.
You can play your part by getting involved in the special activities across London, wearing your Royal British Legion poppy and giving generously!
