The Cosmic Race
"Mulambo" is an original Bantu word, used in Brasil to designate a poor or a misfit person. Connected to the futuristic dream of becoming universal, expressed in José Vasconcelos’ philosophy of La Raza Cósmica, the music of The Cosmic Race emerges from the Brazilian ghettos and takes place in Berlin, handmade by João Xavi (Voice, Lyrics, Beats) and Pedro Oliveira (Guitar, Bass, Synthesizer). It is a music that looks as much into the future as it does into the past, conflating time and space with a touch of gambiarra.
The Cosmic Race puts to dance any God you can believe in.
