Rogue Johnsen (blues piano, songwriter, singer) has performed and studied with some amazing musicians: his teachers include the great Charles Brown, Anthony Nalker (Army Blues/Hal Leonard), and Anna Balakerskaia (Moscow Conservatory). He's toured with the W.C. Clark Blues Review, Archie Bell & the Drells, and Miss Lavelle White. In addition, Rogue Johnsen has opened for some true legends: B.B. King, Albert King, Buddy Guy, Maceo Parker, Bobby “Blue” Bland, Luther Allison, Earl King, Dave Mason, Koko Taylor, Robben Ford, A. C. Reed, Syl Johnson, The Blind Boys of Alabama, and The Gospel Hummingbirds.
Enlisting the talents of local Saxophonist Jim Barrett (Take Four, Band Camp, Bobby Thompson, Bushmaster Blues and others) and Drummer Earl Ivey, the Rogue Johnsen Trio is a mix of blues, jazz and soul with a littl New Orleans Flavor added in. Sing along or get up and dance!
