Come enjoy a collection of short classes coming straight from our non-profit mission of personal, social, and ecological sustainability. These are workshops lead by resident staff on site.
Also featured are onsite cottage industries, our Solar Roller trailer, childcare, face-painting, and a homemade pizza meal from our cob dragon oven!

--- Cob oven pizza cooking ---
Earthen ovens are a fun and natural way to bake delicious food. Our local connoisseur will teach adults and kids how to use fire and our dragon-themed oven to make handmade pizza using homemade dough. This will be the lunch when the workshop is complete. Learn by doing, and eat the result!

--- Emotional Resiliency Skills ---
Sometimes our emotional lives are so powerful that they can become overwhelming. In this culture, we have very few skills to handle this experience in a healthy, holistic manner. This workshop opens up new worlds of tools to help us all become more personally resilient by properly managing our emotional lives. You will walk away with handouts, resources, and a new sense of self-efficacy!

--- Foraging and Gardening with Native Edible Plants of the Northwest ---
First, we'll walk our beautiful land and point out a number of interesting, native edibles along the paths and gardens. We'll get to try some edible wild greens on our way out to the Native Foods Nursery, an on-site plant nursery specializing in native, edible plants of the region. At the nursery, we'll see dozens of other native edibles at different stages of growth, speak about growing and gardening with native plants in a Permaculture way, and then walk back to the lodge to sample some homemade native plant cuisine (probably some acorn/bay nut bread). Come with curiosity and outdoor clothing!

--- Engaging Your Inner Creator ---
Equal parts rational and woo woo, this class will take you through a process of creating the life you want by using tools that each of us has within ourselves, available to us simply for the choosing. Whatever your present level of understanding or interest in manifesting, intention setting, or creative visualizing, this interactive workshop will help you hone your abilities to determine how you want yourself and your life to actually be. Bring an open heart and mind, a pen & notebook, and experience the empowerment of knowing yourself as a creator instead of a victim in every aspect of your life.
