Songwriting Workshop & Campout
May 18, 19, 20

The Songwriting Workshop & Campout will provide opportunities for musicians to collaborate, exchange ideas, and learn from other musicians. The event will be led by area musician Nicholas James Thomasma and hosted at the home studio of John Wenger.

The goal is to give each musician an opportunity to develop an original song and possibly more as a group. This is a very unique experience to camp and jam with other musicians. The workshop will culminate in a public performance of selected songs at LowellArts just before the Seth Bernard concert on May 19.

The Wenger property is on Grand River Drive in Lowell, MI, located about 1 mile from LowellArts. It includes 9 acres of woods and lawns with several fire pits and camp sites. Weather permitting, we will work outdoors. Otherwise, the sessions will be moved indoors and/or to a room at LowellArts (223 W Main Street, Lowell).

Lunch will be provided on Saturday. Workshop attendees are should bring food to contribute to the community breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. There are a couple of kitchens available for your use anytime during the workshop. Coffee and well water will be available.

The price to attend the workshop is $80 which includes camping, admission to the workshops, lunch on Saturday, and a ticket to the Seth Bernard concert. Register on-line, at LowellArts (223 W Main Street, Lowell), or call 616-897-8545.
